Such a deal. What’s the loss of a home, pets, friends, neighbors, job, car, family photos and keepsakes, plus maybe having a near-death experience? No big deal, especially when in the tradeoff one gets to enjoy their very own hard, straight-back seat in the Astrodome, a free change of clothes and chow hall cuisine, with no peace and no privacy, all of it for the indefinite future.
We’ll bet there are “disadvantaged” folks all over America just hoping a hurricane will destroy their community, so they can come down to Texas and get things working very well for themselves, too.
Who knows, they might even get to exchange howdys with a tactless, haughty celebrity matriarch.
