Gonzales’ ex-staff chief struggles at Senate hearing

We’re back, and thanks for tuning in to KQRK News 13, where we bring you the news as it’s happening.

New strategy that isn’t delivers same old results

Bland, self-serving reassurances and misleading spin aside, the reality is that Bush’s surge has done nothing more or better than to disperse some insurgents, factional fighters, al Qaeda fighters and criminals to other areas of Iraq.

Item implicates Cheney’s office in Cunningham case

Some say the burgeoning U.S. attorneys firing scandal is just a badly handled personnel change that’s being exploited politically. They — and everyone else — should think again.

Iraqis have their own take on who the bad guys are

Quote: “Asked to judge how the United States and other coalition forces have carried out their responsibilities in Iraq, 76 percent say they have done “a bad job.”

Democrats ignore micromanaging meme, back deadlines

One after another, House Republicans tried to frame the debate by charging the pullout provision and requirements for properly training and equipping troops headed to Iraq as micromanaging the war. That’s a false, hollow argument, but one with a legalistic edge.
