It probably won’t happen, but the Illinois Legislature really ought to censure Rep. Monique Davis, D-Chicago.
First, this lawmaker exhibited woeful ignorance of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which specifies, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech.”
Rep. Monique Davis (D-Chicago) interrupted atheist activist Rob Sherman during his testimony Wednesday afternoon before the House State Government Administration Committee in Springfield and told him, “What you have to spew and spread is extremely dangerous . . . it’s dangerous for our children to even know that your philosophy exists!“This is the Land of Lincoln where people believe in God,” Davis said. “Get out of that seat . . . You have no right to be here! We believe in something. You believe in destroying! You believe in destroying what this state was built upon.”
Second, Davis doesn’t get it that people testifying before legislative bodies are, by rules and tradition, to be treated with deference and courtesy at all times, no matter how much members of those bodies might disagree with what their guests have to say.
Davis should add the Constitution, respect for the decorum and reputation of the legislature she’s part of, and respect for those good enough to come answer questions, to the things she believes in.
If Davis can’t or won’t, she should be the one to get out of her seat — permanently.

I would agree with you, SW, but that’s just what they would expect–more unamerican anarchy from an atheist homo. I would write more but I need to go spend some time recruiting.
Don’t just dream the agenda, be the agenda!
