Lowdown on Bush comes eight years too late

If you watched the Tuesday, Dec. 2, “Countdown With Keith Olbermann” on MSNBC, you saw Newsweek senior Washington correspondent Howard Fineman make a remarkable statement . . .

Pawlenty should be prof. of revisionist history

Pawlenty is either as poorly informed as his Alaska counterpart or — and this seems more likely — he’s deliberately trying to revise history so as to spread the blame onto Democrats, while simultaneously disappearing the first balanced budgets and budget surpluses in nearly a half century.

Maddow does MSNBC proud

Although “The Rachel Maddow Show” has been on the cable network just 25 days, it’s racking up ratings sure to give competing Fox News and CNN heartburn.

Limbaugh models general disrespect, hypocrisy

During his appearance on Meet the Press Sunday, former Secretary of State Colin Powell endorsed Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential candidacy and panned Republican vice presidential candidate, Gov. Sarah Palin, as not qualified and not ready for high office.
Playground bully-with-a-microphone Rush Limbaugh led the right-wing noise machine in condemning Powell, a Republican, insisting Powell’s choice [...]

As we were saying about CNN

McCain earnestly declared Obama wants to create another big, expensive government program, wants to force you into a socialized-medicine scheme. The crowd booed, right on cue. . .

CNN still doing its part for the GOP

Palin a cancer on the GOP? You betcha

Talk about wheels coming off the wagon — the neocon scourge has at long last become too much for even loyal water carrier David Brooks to stomach. The New York Times columnist vented this week at a gathering for the redesigned Atlantic magazine.

Oh wow, foreigners donate to Obama

You’re sitting in your car, parked on a tree-lined downtown street, when a black limousine pulls up and backs into the space ahead — hitting your front bumper with a metallic thunk.
A well-dressed 20-something man gets out on the driver’s side and walks back to look at the damage. He grimaces and says, “Oh geez.” [...]

Hannity gives 27 percenters what they want

Few media hacks better epitomize what the 27 percenters of Bush’s base, Karl Rove’s most Pavlovian subjects and, now, John McCain’s most certain voters want to see than Sean Hannity.
When and how this professional loudmouth got to be an expert on the economy is a mystery. But then, Fox News has always valued arrogance and [...]
